About the Role

As a key member of the Mears team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational supervision of contract activities in our Social housing background.

As a Building Maintenance Senior Supervisor, you will be working alongside Redbridge Council, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams.

  • Responsible for ensuring maximum productivity, profitability, and satisfaction through effective resource utilisation and planning.
  • Supervise and monitor work delivery, progression, and completion via ongoing site visits to ensure works are adequately resourced and delivered to set quality standards.
  • Compile management reports on operational activities, initiatives, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to H&S regulations, Mears standard operating procedures, Mears values, and quality assurance accreditations.
  • Manage employees' performance, coach, and develop individuals in their roles, ensuring HR Policies & Procedures are followed.
  • Monitor and maintain all supplied company assets, including operatives' vans, van stocks, material purchases, tools, plant hire, uniform, and PPE.
  • Support and mentor other Supervisors in effectively delivering their duties.

Role Criteria:

  • Trade background.
  • Social housing background.
  • SMTS.
  • IT literate.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Need to have managed a team.
  • Need to have worked in a supervisory position.
  • Ideally worked in domestic and social housing.
  • UK full driving licence.
