About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Acute and Stroke Medicine to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical services, and contributing to the development of our acute and stroke medicine services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the provision of acute medicine and stroke services, including clinical governance, service development, teaching, and research.
  • Take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of complex acute medicine patients.
  • Manage acute medical emergencies and lead change management initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses, and other staff and agencies.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Experience in Acute/General Medicine and Stroke, with a strong background in clinical governance and service development.
  • Ability to teach clinical skills to medical and nursing staff and other disciplines.
  • Understanding of the current NHS environment, particularly in relation to reforms, initiatives, and issues.
  • Ability to engage in and lead change management initiatives.
