The Ingenuity finance team plays an integral part in the success of THG, providing support to the senior management team to ensure operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered. Day-to-day tasks can vary from reporting key financial information to partnering with business stakeholders or reviewing client proposals, always driving continuous improvement within the finance function.

About the Role

Due to continued expansion, THG is looking to recruit a Financial Performance Analyst to work within our Ingenuity Division. You will play a vital role in providing information to the Senior Management team and Group, defining ways to measure and report on key performance indicators, and ensuring decisions are made with a balanced view considering short and longer-term impacts as well as top and bottom-line performance.

You will obsessively drive the Profit & Loss statement (P&L) and business model forward, identifying growth opportunities, cost savings, and efficiency gains. This involves interacting across all key business functions from business development, trading through to marketing and merchandising teams to ensure decisions being made across the business drive the desired commercial outcome.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a bridge between finance and non-finance executives
  • Work towards improving financial efficiency
  • Help improve the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Process
  • Review client commercial proposals
  • Support the client onboarding process
  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with other departments
  • Review financial and non-financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), focusing on challenging management teams on budgetary and comparator variances
  • Report key financial information to the business, provide advice, and support to enhance their knowledge and understanding
  • Ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered
  • Partner with business stakeholders to produce budgets and forecasts
  • Drive continual improvement within the finance function
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Business Partnering role
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
  • Ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders across the business
  • Analytical skills, quick to grasp the fundamentals of a business, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-moving and changeable environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience within an online business would be advantageous
  • A proactive attitude and desire to challenge the status quo
