Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Support Specialist to join our team at Prospero Teaching in the Lancashire area. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) requirements, creating and delivering personalised learning plans to help them achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN students or in an SEN setting, demonstrating patience, empathy, and creativity in their approach. They will be able to work closely with families to establish a daily routine and provide ongoing educational development, ultimately supporting students to return to mainstream education.

As an Education Support Specialist with Prospero Teaching, you will be part of a supportive team that prioritises student progress and well-being. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people who require additional support, and contribute to the success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN requirements
  • Create and deliver personalised learning plans
  • Work closely with families to establish a daily routine
  • Monitor student progress and report regularly
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references

Salary and Benefits:
