Immunisation Programme Coordinator

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Immunisation Programme Coordinator to join their award-winning team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all children, young people, and families in Buckinghamshire are offered age-appropriate immunisations in a safe and supportive environment, with evidence-based information on the benefits of immunisation.

The post holder will work closely with the immunisation team to prepare, plan, and deliver the childhood immunisation programme in accordance with local policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with clients in a variety of community settings, including homes, clinics, children's centres, and educational establishments.
  • Assisting in the preparation, planning, and delivery of the childhood immunisation programme.
  • Liaising with GP surgeries and their staff to promote childhood immunisations.
  • Improving coverage of all childhood immunisations for children aged 0-19 years, particularly in historically low-coverage areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Full training will be provided, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic team.

Key Requirements:

  • RGN qualification.
  • Leadership at the Point of Care or other leadership training (desirable).
  • Mentorship in Clinical Practice/ENB998 Certificate (desirable).
