About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Services Consultant to join our team at Lidl GB. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for engaging with various departments to analyze and highlight their needs, onboarding new procurement categories, and demonstrating innovative thinking to implement new services or strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with different departments to analyze and highlight their needs
  • Onboard new procurement categories
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking to implement new services or strategic solutions
  • Manage the tender process from market research to creating tender packs and presenting final recommendations
  • Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, including negotiations, supplier and industry analysis, benchmarks, and cost structure analysis
  • Negotiate with suppliers and draft contracts
  • Manage contracts
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Prepare summaries, overviews, and project status documents for senior management
  • Track and control budgets
  • Manage and maintain supplier relationships

Requirements

  • Solid experience in a procurement role
  • CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract management, and tendering
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Effective negotiator and confident presenter
  • Ability to prioritize projects and communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently within tight deadlines
  • Ability to deal with large amounts of data and extract key information
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
