Job Title: Healthcare Research Scientist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Research Scientist to join our team at Porthosp. As a key member of our Department of Clinical Neurophysiology, you will be responsible for providing complex, specialist clinical neurophysiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide complex, specialist clinical neurophysiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients of all ages.
  • Work in isolation at various satellite clinics, including remote locations.
  • Be adaptive in learning new techniques and undergo further training in specialist areas as required.
  • Participate in the development and training of student healthcare scientists and junior medical staff.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, audit, and research and development programmes.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience working within a Clinical Neurophysiology department with a minimum of 1 year post-qualification as a Healthcare Scientist.
  • Registration with the HCPC or AHCS, Masters Level Qualification or Equivalent.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to use a range of standard and complex computer software.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work pattern.
  • Good awareness of data protection and information security/governance issues.
