Research Coordination Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Coordination Officer to join our team at the John Innes Centre in Norwich. As a key member of our Research Grants & Contracts team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Institute's grant success rates and income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert knowledge on national and international funding schemes, undertaking horizon scanning activities and targeting appropriate opportunities.
  • Work closely with scientific staff to encourage and initiate the development of proposals.
  • Contribute to implementing processes and support to increase the Institute's grant success rates and income.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of working in a research institute or similar academic environment.
  • Understanding of research and innovation strategies in the UK and beyond.
  • Broad scientific awareness across subjects and disciplines relevant to the work of JIC.
