This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly motivated team of skilled electrical installers at a renowned defence company who specialize in manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, assembly, and build of Land Systems specialist projects using engineering drawings and design data to meet business and customer expectations to BS7671 standards.
  • Install electrical cabling/wiring into specialized containers.
  • Perform wire-related tasks including looming, crimping, braiding, soldering, and wire cutting/preparation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean and 5S procedures, ensuring a clean, compliant work area.

Required Experience:

  • Proficient with AC/DC circuits and single and three-phase supplies.
  • Skilled in building looms and harnesses with military-type connectors.
  • Capable of soldering, crimping, and general small-scale, low-gauge wiring.
  • Experience with intricate panel wiring.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures) or an equivalent electrical qualification.
  • IPC-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
