As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the engineering function, including engineering, design management, quality assurance and control, document control, both on and off site for Murphy Applied Engineering.
You will be responsible for implementing the Better Engineered strategic driver as part of the 10-year plan and representing the function both internally and externally.
The role involves leading and driving engineering initiatives within the business unit, promoting and leading engineering innovation and BIM solutions to clients, managing and actively pursuing performance improvement of the engineering capability and function.
You will also take a proactive role in the management of careers and the learning & development of all engineering staff, including carrying out personal development reviews.
Additionally, you will work closely with engineering institutions and manage the professional qualifications in conjunction with the learning & development team.
The role requires a Chartered Electrical Engineer with further education qualification in Electrical Engineering and experience of working with National Grid, Power Transmission Networks.
