Job Title: Senior Management Accountant
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team at Hays Senior Finance. As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving business growth through financial analysis and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present management accounts packs to the leadership team.
- Perform month-end P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain overhead forecasting and budgeting models, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth.
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop long-term financial objectives and strategies for the department.
- Identify business opportunities to support growth and reduce costs, and develop financial models to support decision-making.
- Produce 13-week weekly short-term cash flow forecasts, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage cash book maintenance and bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain the fixed asset register, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Partner with non-financial stakeholders to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and financial efficiency, and develop financial models to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, and maintain accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth.
- Support the year-end audit process, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
We are looking for a CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with proven experience in a management accounting role, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
