The Spinner Medical Recruitment team is seeking an experienced and dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their team in the Gold Coast region of Queensland, Australia.

This is a unique opportunity for a specialist to work in a patient-centered philosophy, delivering high-quality care through evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist clinical psychiatric support, contributing to the development of a culture of medical education, and ensuring safe, patient-centered care.

The role includes involvement in providing multidisciplinary care and supporting innovative treatment models for complex cases. Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care through evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance, and departmental meetings.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and training to junior medical staff.
  • Engage in research, continuous professional development, and education.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent gained in NZ, UK, Ireland, USA, or Canada.
  • Deep experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.
  • Strong clinical and teaching experience.
  • A collaborative approach to work.
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call and after-hours roster.

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $450,000 plus on-call allowances, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced psychiatrists.
