About the Role

Willmott Dixon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their accounting skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Raising supplier payments and sales invoices
  • Producing VAT and CIS returns
  • Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
  • Undertaking various reconciliations

About the Finance Team

The Group Finance Team is responsible for providing centralised finance support to the main board and to the individual LCOs. The team comprises 50 people across Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Payroll and Sub-Contractor Payments teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing timely and accurate monthly Management Reporting
  • Production of all statutory reporting including biannual Group accounts
  • Tax and Compliance
  • Goods Partner and supply chain payments management
  • Treasury and accounts receivable
  • Payroll

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential Criteria

  • Strong academic record
  • AAT part-qualified or qualified by experience
  • Proven experience in using Microsoft Excel
