An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join a leading public sector organisation in their Accounting & Finance team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute significantly to the team for an initial 3-6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with year-end statutory accounts and audit preparation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Engage with various stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, building strong relationships and communicating effectively.
Requirements
A successful Interim Management Accountant should have:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
