About the Role
The Matter Administrator role is a critical position within the Finance function at CMS UK. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining client and matter data integrity within the billing system, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of data, and prioritizing workstreams to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain client and matter data integrity within the CMS billing system, including hourly charge out rates for Fee Earners
- Vet new client and matter requests against Risk & Compliance, Finance & Client specific rules, and ensure accurate and timely transfer of data into the billing system
- Prioritize different workstreams through use of a ticketing system to ensure team and firm SLAs are met
- Liaise with Partners, Fee Earners, and other Finance functions around the globe to facilitate a seamless process from Client/Matter inception to billing and cash collection
- Assist the Commercial Finance team by maintaining panel rate agreements with key clients and conducting yearly rate increases to ensure profitability, including any subsequent reversals where the increase has been rejected
- Work with other CMS data teams to cleanse the billing system of historic inaccurate/duplicated data
About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong communication skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic Maths and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate monetary amounts and analyze data.
