Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Event Planning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering events, managing logistical and administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth execution of these events. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the success of our company.

You will be responsible for sourcing venues, vendors, and suppliers, coordinating meetings and site visits, assisting with event set-up and breakdown, and providing strong communication skills to support guests/clients with any questions or issues. Other important administrative tasks include preparing cost spreadsheets, expense reports, coding expenses, setting up suppliers on Peoplesoft, and finalising contracts with the legal department.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Source and coordinate venues, vendors, and suppliers
  2. Manage logistical and administrative tasks for events
  3. Assist with event set-up and breakdown
  4. Provide excellent communication skills to support guests/clients
  5. Prepare name badges and manage guest lists/registration
  6. Assist with administrative tasks such as updating event information
  7. Keep the events calendar up to date
  8. Organise and book internal small team events
  9. Help with booking monthly events
  10. Coordinate branding at events venue
  11. Travel to conduct on-site inspections and project management of events
  12. Coordinate and support travel to and from the venue
  13. Summarise costs, expenses, and close event documents post-event
  14. Evaluate event attendance and guest lists
  15. Ensure compliance with company regulatory requirements
  16. Adhere to operational risk framework
  17. Role model highest level standards of integrity and conduct
  18. Comply with FCA's Code of Conduct and Marex's Code of Conduct
  19. Ensure awareness of and adherence to internal policies
  20. Report any breaches of policy
  21. Escalate risk events immediately
  22. Provide input to risk management processes
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per year depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
