Senior Technical Program Manager, Region Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Region Services organization and serve as a technical expert, taking the lead in solving operational problems in mission-critical clouds.
This role requires a strong technical background, with experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and services, as well as experience in managing projects with a focus on customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements and document functional and design specifications.
- Define User Acceptance Criteria for testing software and ensure systems capture applicable data.
- Identify and assemble resources for each project, assign individual responsibilities, and develop milestones and launch schedules.
- Contribute to cross-functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, and anticipate and resolve bottlenecks.
- Be responsible for data collection, analytics, and dashboard creation to help others recognize the best path to improve the business.
About the Team:
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations, including foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
The Region Services team redefines the way AWS designs, builds, and operates AWS regions to enable new AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Services offerings to customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
