About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and helping develop technologies in SMR capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

We are looking for a Technical Lead (Equipment Qualification) who will have experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering design, analysis/modelling and physical testing to ensure new equipment is suitably qualified to perform all necessary functions in accordance with nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidating and communicating detailed technical requirements for component and system qualification, ensuring alignment to nuclear safety standards and functions.
  • Managing technical configuration details associated with equipment qualification, including updates to technical specifications, and associated technical delivery documents.
  • Performing technical investigations and impact analyses for design options/changes, working with stakeholders to manage and document the process, inputs and outcomes and support/manage contract kick-off activities including creation of technical briefing packs and workshops, coordinating inputs from technical specialists.
  • Support/manage contract execution activities, including surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities, with a primary focus on equipment qualification. This may include performing or commissioning technical analyses and calculations, and liaison with technical specialists, to rigorously evaluate supplier outputs.
  • Experience on the design, development, analysis, testing and approval/acceptance of safety classified equipment.
  • Sound understanding of nuclear equipment regulations such as RCC-E.
  • Familiarity with the UK nuclear regulatory environment and associated safety case discipline.
  • Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as NEC/FIDIC.
