Job Overview

Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Project EC&I Engineer to join our client's growing Thermal Business Unit in Yorkshire for a hybrid working contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver full project lifecycle for assigned projects, from conception to final handover.
  • Direct and control contractor's activities to ensure work is undertaken to company requirements and safety instructions.
  • Assist in defining specification requirements for engineering contracts and participate in tender evaluation.
  • Ensure all required PPI is generated for ongoing support of plant and assets.
  • Provide technical advice and support to own and other discipline technical staff.
  • Participate in the preparation of the business capital budget and exercise control of costs to meet budget requirements.
  • Self-sufficient in the management and reporting requirements for finance, procurement, and contracts.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to a minimum of HNC in Engineering Discipline (or equivalent).
  • CompEx units 1 to 4.
  • Industry legislation and Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Experience of relevant engineering and other plant design and installation standards.
  • Computer literate and ability to operate in a structured project environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience on high hazard or COMAH sites.
  • CompEx unit 12.
  • Project engineering experience.
