Import Customs Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Import Customs Clerk to join our team at Prime Appointments. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless customs clearance and compliance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customs declarations and entries for air, sea, and road freight shipments, including EADs and T1s.
  • Manage and maintain accurate documentation for each shipment.
  • Deal with customer inquiries and provide expert advice on customs procedures and regulations.
  • Liaise with external organizations, including HMRC, port authorities, and shipping lines.
  • Calculate duty and VAT costs for each consignment.
  • Process import and export declarations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • HMRC customs declarations experience, including imports and exports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Experience with customs procedures and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Destin8, Descarte, and CNS Systems.
