We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our primary care department at Charles River Community Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the transformation of primary care across our sites, ensuring that medical providers meet goals for patient care, productivity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Department Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the primary care department, including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, prevention and wellness, women's health, complex care, and affiliated clinical and educational partners.
- Provider Management: Recruit, manage, and develop physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, conducting performance reviews and overseeing training.
- Quality Improvement: Champion key initiatives and changes to improve workforce, patient care, and CRCH performance, regularly reviewing productivity and quality metrics to evaluate performance against established goals.
- Operational Management: Ensure adequate on-site and telehealth provider coverage, approving earned time requests and/or approving substitute providers and per diem sessions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Chief Clinical Officer, Human Resources Department, and other stakeholders to develop and implement resilience and retention strategies for medical providers.
- Education and Licensure: Current Massachusetts license and a minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience.
- Experience and Skills: Prior experience in an ambulatory setting, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to lead and make decisions based on data, and strong ability to coach and mentor providers.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to work with diverse cultures, strong ability to resolve daily issues and conflicts, and experience in working with Accountable Care Organization programs.
- Competitive Compensation: Salary range of $165,000 - $195,000/year.
