We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified corporate governance professional to join our team as Head of Corporate Governance for our UK General Insurance business.
As Company Secretary to the UK General Insurance business and associated entities, you will play a key role in assisting the Directors to comply with applicable corporate governance requirements, corporate law and regulation, and for implementing and enforcing governance and best practice policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of timely and value-adding company secretarial advice and support for the Boards, Committees, Directors, and senior managers within the relevant business area.
- Act as Company Secretary for relevant subsidiary companies and provide advice to the Board on all corporate governance and company secretarial matters.
- Directly lead and manage the UK General Insurance Company Secretarial team, ensuring the successful management of all resources within the agreed budget through optimal team structures, work allocation, and development/succession plans.
- Strong experience delivering high-quality Corporate Governance Services, preferably within a FTSE100/250 organisation and ideally within the financial services industry/regulated environment.
- Extensive experience delivering high-quality Company Secretarial and Corporate Governance support in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement experience at all levels, particularly with executive and non-executive Board Directors.
- Proven extensive minute writing experience (ideally within a regulated environment) and producing other governance documents to a high standard and accurately.
- Proven experience in leading and developing a high-performing team.
- Salary circa £135,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity 25% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's).
