Cleaning Operative

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Operative to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the property, including floors, walls, and surfaces.
- Operate a variety of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions.
- Empty bins and recycling containers, and maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning schedules and deadlines.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities management team.
About You
We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail. Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential. You will be required to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate, plus Sunday premium, and a range of benefits, including 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years' service, plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme, and Defined Contribution pension scheme.
Contract Type
This is a permanent, part-time contract, working 8 hours and 15 minutes per week, Monday – Saturday.
Working Hours
As a Cleaning Operative, you will work from 10:00 to 11:30 Monday to Wednesday, and 11:15 to 11:30 Thursday to Saturday.

What Happens Next?
