Job Description: The Senior Design Manager Lead will be responsible for managing a team of mechanical, electrical and public health engineers to develop Building Services designs. The role involves leading larger scale schemes, coordinating all disciplines as the main Client point of contact throughout a project, representing Hoare Lea at project meetings and managing project expenditure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of engineers to produce detailed design outputs to BSRIA stages 4a-4c level.
  • Lead larger scale schemes and coordinate all disciplines as the main Client point of contact throughout a project.
  • Represent Hoare Lea at project meetings and manage project expenditure.
  • Mitigate risks to the business and ensure quality standards are delivered.

Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge in primary engineering discipline (mechanical ideal) and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills to effectively work to timescales and deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:
