Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective processes for the management of hazardous collections, ensuring the safe and practical management of these materials.
- Conduct research on our collections and design processes for the efficient use of scientific equipment across the Group.
- Review and update policies, standard operating procedures, and risk assessments to ensure our processes are practical and safe.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject specialists, and external consultants to achieve project goals.
- Provide leadership, influencing, and communication skills to effectively manage projects and teams.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in chemical science and hazardous materials management. You will have substantial experience of scientific analysis using a range of equipment, as well as experience working with hazardous materials and implementing risk management approaches.
You will be able to assess complex situations and generate solutions, applying your scientific expertise to cultural collection material and ensuring practical advice and work is fit for purpose. You will also have experience of writing standard operating procedures and presenting and publishing research.
