Project Engineer - Flight Systems Team Lead

As a key member of our Flight Systems Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and supporting critical aircraft systems. Your expertise in systems engineering will enable you to oversee the production of Flight Systems engineering data, ensuring alignment with agreed standards and procedures while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production of Flight Systems engineering data to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with various engineering and project teams to develop effective engineering solutions.
  • Plan, execute, and guide engineering tasks based on the project lifecycle phase.
  • Review and approve specifications, reports, and proposals to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Drive the development of new systems by implementing best practice systems lifecycle processes.
  • Provide overall team leadership, including task management and prioritization, performance management, staff development, cost control, and ensuring technical quality.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant STEM field.
  • Strong knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and the ability to apply effective systems engineering practices.
  • Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fluid Systems Engineering, ideally within an aerospace application.
  • Proven ability to apply prior experience to guide, support, and lead others.
  • Ability to research system design data and solve complex engineering problems.
