Job Title: Property Legal Assistant

Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking an experienced Property Legal Assistant to join their residential and new homes teams. As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of the team and delivering excellent client care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general administrative duties associated with residential conveyancing, including gathering information and updating the Case Management System.
  • Maintain up-to-date filing and ensure confidentiality of all client information.
  • Meet clients in person and handle telephone calls and messages for the firm.
  • Manage tasks such as franking letters, receiving, making, and redirecting telephone calls, and populating spreadsheets.
  • Perform typing and other general administrative duties as required throughout the firm.
Requirements:
  • Excellent administrative skills and strong communication and good listening skills to understand client needs.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately relay messages, record information, and update CMS, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in PC/IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems.
  • Good keyboard skills and typing ability, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Sensible and clear communication with internal partners, fee earners, clients, service providers, and stakeholders.
About the Role:

The Property Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to partners and fee earners in the residential conveyancing and new build property team. Responsibilities include meeting and greeting clients, both in person and on the telephone, and supporting partners, fee earners, and support staff across various practice areas as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen interest in being part of a vibrant law firm in the heart of Swindon and a smart appearance and polite demeanor are essential.
