Civil Engineer

Milestone Infrastructure, the UK's leading highways maintenance provider, is seeking a talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Oxfordshire projects team, you will be responsible for the daily control, management, and coordination of construction activities on site to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of all engineering activities including engineering control, setting out, and providing direction to the workforce.
- Leading quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.
- Ensuring the highest possible health, safety, and environmental standards across all projects, adhering to Milestone Infrastructure's health and safety and environmental policies.
- Meet client expectations and ensure excellent communication skills with all project stakeholders.
- Survey & Engineering Control - Responsible for checking all sub-contractor and direct labour works.
- Reviewing design and proposing solutions by raising RFIs and communicating to relevant parties (Designers/Sub Contractors).
- Working with the Site Agent in monitoring HSEQ aspects of the project including Project Health and Safety File.
- Keep accurate records including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations, and as-built information using AutoCAD.
Requirements:
- BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of National Highways standards such as the DMRB and MCDHW (preferred).
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Construction Design Management (CDM) in design and construction.
- Computer literate, particularly with packages such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and AutoCAD (desirable).
- Driving License compulsory.
