Pharma Search is seeking an experienced Academic Director to lead a team of expert scientists in the Neuroscience Biology Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the continued understanding and development of molecular mechanisms of Neurodegeneration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of PhD scientists engaged in Neurodegeneration drug discovery, evaluating external opportunities, and promoting the company's research activities at internal and external scientific meetings. You will also be responsible for directing and encouraging continued publication in peer-reviewed journals and developing excellent relationships with external academic and commercial collaborators.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly innovative business and contribute to the continued success of the New Medicines Group. You will have a high level of autonomy and responsibility within a dynamic and scientifically talented team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of PhD scientists in Neurodegeneration drug discovery
  2. Evaluate external opportunities and collaborations
  3. Promote company research activities at scientific meetings
  4. Direct and encourage publication in peer-reviewed journals
  5. Develop relationships with external collaborators
  6. Support compound development from discovery to candidate

Requirements:

  • Strong disease expertise and leadership capability in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diseases
  • Ability to contribute to the continued success of the New Medicines Group

Location: Belgium
Salary: Commensurate with experience
