About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Phlebotomist to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory analysis, ensuring that samples are labelled correctly and prepared for distribution to the appropriate laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients through venipuncture for laboratory analysis, as requested by doctors, when necessary for the diagnosis and care of a patient.
- Liaise with all groups of staff to provide an effective Phlebotomy service.
- Provide an efficient routine in-patient and outpatient Phlebotomy service to adults referred to the service for blood tests by their General Practitioner or clinic.
Person Specification
- Good general education.
- Previous patient or customer care experience.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
