Project Planner Job Description

Rubicon Consulting is seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our team on a permanent basis in Birmingham. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of turnkey projects, including the design, supply, and installation of prefabricated energy solutions.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry and processes, from design to completion. They will be responsible for planning works from the design and construction phase, monitoring progress, and coordinating updates and revisions. The Project Planner will also attend internal and external project meetings, present project information, and updates on areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget forecasts.
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Provide support to the project management team, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Asta, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to work independently, with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
