Role Overview

  • We are currently recruiting for a Desktop Surveyor in the Watford area to review reports, information, and photos of damage to properties, and prepare scopes of work for reinstatement repairs following an insurance claim.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing surveys, reports, photos, and videos to estimate costs
  • Preparing scopes of work and planning projects to completion (up to £20k)
  • Updating company systems and client portals throughout
  • Dealing with variation orders and approving as necessary
  • Preparing relevant paperwork such as CPP/RAMs
  • Liasing with policyholders, loss adjusters, and insurance companies

Requirements:

  • Surveying/scoping experience or experience as a claim handler/works scheduler within a contractor environment
  • Knowledge of building a Scope of Works
  • Confident IT/PC user (ideally with experience using Xactimate, Symbility, or other similar estimating software)
  • Happiness to work from the office as part of a team
