We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Researcher in Biomaterials to join our team at Imperial College London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biomaterials research and a proven track record of publishing high-quality research papers.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in biomaterials and develop new research programs
- Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Supervise and mentor PhD students
- Contribute to the development of the Department's research strategy
- Collaborate with other academics and researchers within the Department and across the College
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A PhD in a relevant field
- A strong track record of publishing high-quality research papers
- Experience of teaching and assessing students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
The following person specifications are essential for this role:
- PhD in the physical sciences, engineering or related field or equivalent
- A developing national reputation and expertise in the field of Biomaterials
- An ability to articulate a clear research vision which complements existing work
- Experience of preparing grant applications for submission
- A portfolio of high quality of research publications, confirming national standing (commensurate with career stage)
- Experience of training undergraduate and postgraduate students and evidence of an aptitude for teaching

- An established national and developing international reputation and expertise in the field of Biomaterials
