Biomaterials Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic to join our Department of Materials within the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biomaterials and materials science, with a proven track record of research and teaching excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in biomaterials and materials science, with a focus on developing new materials and technologies for medical devices.
- Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate students in biomaterials and materials science.
- Supervise and mentor PhD students in biomaterials and materials science.
- Develop and lead research programmes in biomaterials and materials science, with a focus on attracting external funding and collaborating with industry partners.
- Contribute to the development and performance of colleagues through coaching and mentoring.
- PhD in biomaterials or materials science, or a related field.
- Established national and international reputation in biomaterials and materials science.
- Proven track record of research and teaching excellence.
- Ability to articulate a clear research vision and lead research programmes.
- Experience of working with industry partners and attracting external funding.
