We are seeking a skilled and dedicated nurse to join our Haematology Specialist Nursing team at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with patients who require high-quality, personalised care for various haematological malignancies. As the key worker, you will coordinate patient care from investigation to initial diagnosis and throughout the cancer pathway.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for haematology patients and their families.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including Primary Health Care professionals, to provide specialist nursing knowledge and expertise.
  • Use reflective practice to continuously improve the standard of patient care and ensure coordination and continuity of care.

Person Specification
  • Hold a degree or diploma in nursing studies (or possess equivalent nursing qualifications and experience).
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Part 1 Adult/General Level 1 or 2).
  • Knowledge and experience in Haematology-Oncology.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
