Senior Occupational Therapist Team Lead Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Team Lead. This is a Band 7 position at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

The Norman Power Centre, a purpose-built therapy unit, provides out-of-hospital rehabilitation therapy. Our team works closely with clinical colleagues to deliver excellent patient care.

This challenging and rewarding role involves managing a varied caseload, requiring a multi-skilled approach with experience in discharge planning. You will be passionate about therapies, driven to improve patient outcomes, and able to motivate and develop colleagues.

You will receive support from our School of Nursing, AHPs, and Midwifery, which offers exciting opportunities for career growth and development.

About the Role
  • Manage a varied caseload with a multi-skilled approach
  • Experience in discharge planning
  • Patient-centered approach with a focus on improving outcomes

The successful candidate will have a BSc in OT, HCPC registration, evidence of CPD, leadership training, and experience in supervising junior therapists. They will also demonstrate enthusiasm for the specialist area and have a strong understanding of current legislation and its application to occupational therapy.

Requirements
  • BSc in OT or Dip COT
  • HCPC registration

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £85,000 - £93,500 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you can expect a range of benefits, including flexible working options, professional development opportunities, and a supportive environment.
