About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Safety Manager. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in driving improvements on-site and at a regional level.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage a team of safety professionals to maintain high standards and drive a culture of safety and inclusivity on-site.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data reports and root causes, providing leadership with the information needed to make informed safety-related decisions.
  3. Develop and implement health and safety projects and policies, ensuring compliance with local legislation.
  4. Design and deliver programs to enhance the safety culture within Amazon, fostering a culture that prioritizes safety and well-being.
A Day in the Life

This is a highly varied role that requires a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. You will work closely with site leaders and teams to implement changes and improvements, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Requirements
  1. Education to a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
  2. Relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  3. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  2. Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
  3. Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  4. Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
