At MSC Industrial Supply, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial performance of our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and mentor the Management Accountant to ensure month-end activity and ad-hoc tasks are completed to deadlines.
- Produce a monthly management pack, providing accurate and timely information for decision-making.
- Review sales and costs to produce accurate monthly forecasts across the business.
- Ensure compliance with all corporate taxation and VAT requirements.
- Lead on third-party finance system development to improve processes within the finance department.
- Prepare statutory accounts and lead the liaison with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley internal control framework.
- CIMA (or equivalent) Qualified - 5 PQE.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working within a Group company structure and matrix organization.
- Experience of product margin and inventory accounting.
