About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team at Avara Foods, based at our Wednesbury site.


As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for leading the on-site finance function and providing financial control.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Working with the Site Manager, Site Senior Leadership Team, Operations Reporting Manager, Operations Business Partner, and Central Finance.
  • Maintaining a high level of financial governance, holding those on site accountable.
  • Ensuring and maintaining strict financial controls throughout the site with compliance to accounting standards.
  • Providing Site Manager and Budget Holders with regular expenditure and analysis vs Budget.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring correct treatment of Accruals & Provisions and appropriately supported.
  • Maintaining and reporting the PIP (Profit Improvement Plan) Tracker to the rest of the site management team.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Holiday Cover for other sites as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified with 3-5 years PQE, preferably gained within an FMCG environment.


You will also need to possess strong financial acumen, a good understanding of financial analysis, cost management, and value creation, and strong commercial awareness with the ability to think strategically to support business objectives.
