Student Welfare Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Academics as a Student Welfare Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting young people and ensuring their well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and pastoral support to students across the school.
- Act as a point of contact for students experiencing personal, social, or emotional challenges.
- Work with students and staff to ensure positive behavior and school engagement.
- Support attendance initiatives and work closely with students and families to improve attendance where needed.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of interventions that promote well-being and mental health.
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support to students.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people in a pastoral, educational, or youth work capacity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
- The ability to manage sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
