Part-time SEN Coordinator

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCO to join a lovely infant school in North Watford. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the tailored support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of effective SEN policies and practices across the school.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to create and manage Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Provide training and professional development for staff on SEN issues and inclusive teaching practices.
- Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students with SEN, ensuring interventions are effective and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience in a leadership or coordination role within an educational setting.
