Job Title: Veterinary Nurse Vacancy

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at a small animal practice located near Shrewsbury in the Shropshire area.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time opportunity working 40 hours per week over 4.5 days with a weekend rota. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a varied role, including anaesthetic monitoring, nursing consultations, reception work, assisting the Vets, and schedule 3 work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to the veterinary team
  • Assist with anaesthetic procedures, including monitoring and recovery
  • Conduct nursing consultations and provide advice to clients
  • Perform reception duties, including answering phones and handling client queries
  • Assist the veterinary team with schedule 3 work, including vaccinations and medical procedures
Requirements:
  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse with a strong background in small animal practice
  • Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)

We are a friendly and close-knit team, consisting of 6 vets, 3 registered veterinary nurses, 4 student veterinary nurses, 2 animal nursing assistants, and a dedicated reception team.
