Job Title: Project Control Specialist

Company Overview:

Snc-Lavalin, a leading engineering and construction company, is seeking an experienced Project Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project management group, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of EPC projects.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

Budget Management:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets for EPC projects, ensuring alignment with financial plans.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures, identifying any budget variances and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Manage resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of construction personnel, equipment, and materials.

Cost Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and forecasting to support project decision-making, analyzing cost performance and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Prepare cost estimates for new projects and changes to existing projects.

Schedule Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and forecasts using project management software (PIMS), coordinating with operational teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Monitor and record project changes, implement project-specific strategies, and develop project forecasts along with the project management team.

Reporting on operations:

  • Prepare and present regular financial and progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and any variances, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all reporting activities.

Compliance:

  • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, conducting audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive years of experience in project control, preferably within the Energy construction or EPC sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification.
