The Lancashire County Council Heritage Learning Team is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Cultural Engagement Officer. This exciting opportunity will enable you to develop and shape curriculum-related learning and informal programs for schools, youth, and adult audiences.

Reporting to the Heritage Learning Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with heritage and learning, with a focus on youth engagement. You will work closely with the team to deliver high-quality programs that meet the needs of diverse audiences.

This is a temporary 10-month position based at Museum Headquarters in Preston, but also requires working at museum sites, schools, and other venues across the county. The working pattern will be Weds/Thurs/Fri, with an option to apply for the role permanently after the 10-month period.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for heritage and learning, and experience working with diverse groups. If you are enthusiastic, organized, and have a talent for developing engaging programs, we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of cultural engagement and its impact on communities. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

We offer a range of benefits, including a competitive salary, which is £28,036 per annum pro rata, a generous holiday allowance, and access to training and development opportunities.
