About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatrist to join our team as a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist. This is a part-time position, offering 20 hours per week.

As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will provide effective care to Service Personnel and entitled civilians, with timely access to skilled and effective assessment, treatment, and occupational recommendations that meet the needs of the individual and the Chain of Command.

You will also undertake research in mental health and mental wellbeing, act in a command liaison role to support both case management and organisational initiatives, including health promotion aimed at mental wellbeing and welfare as resources allow.

In addition, you will provide clinical education to primary care staff to enhance their capability to manage mental health problems, and to support their responsibilities in addressing the mental wellbeing of all personnel.

The ideal candidate will have current or recent clinical experience, be able to travel independently to places of duty, and hold a full driving licence.

The salary for this role is £93,666 - £126,281 per annum, pro rata for part-time. In return, we offer a range of benefits, including access to the NHS pension scheme, free parking, and a flexible working environment.
