Role Summary

Cloud Imperium Games Limited is seeking a talented Lead Network Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our core network library, analyzing and improving existing network codebase, and collaborating with other teams to implement networked game features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement our core network library
  • Analyze, refactor, and improve existing network codebase
  • Collaborate with other teams to implement networked game features
  • Assist team members with debugging and fixing network-related problems
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience programming network features and systems, client/server functionalities
  • Strong understanding of multi-threaded programming
  • Experience profiling and optimizing network, CPU, and memory
  • Ability to explain and present technical solutions to both programmers and team members from other disciplines
