Job Opportunity:

Our client, a renowned employer with a reputation for taking care of their people, is seeking an experienced Electrical Control Systems Specialist to join their team in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvements to achieve excellence in performance and productivity, monitoring reliability metrics, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about delivering engineering excellence and wants to work with the latest systems and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvements to achieve excellence in performance and productivity.
  • Monitor reliability metrics and goals to drive performance improvements.
  • Troubleshoot, fault find, update and program control systems (PLC/HMI).
  • Provide technical support and guidance to others regarding Automation, PLC and HMI.
  • Verify and qualify equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of Ethernet networking systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HND in Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering.
  • At least 5 years experience working in industry.
  • Past experience in FMCG / manufacturing desirable, but not essential.
  • Experienced working with Siemens PLC controls.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be customer focused.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work with the latest technologies.
