Tops Day Nurseries is proud to offer an 8-week programme designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the Early Years sector.

What to Expect
  • A comprehensive introduction to childcare, including promoting healthy lifestyles and safeguarding practices.
  • A fast-track route to our accelerated Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship, saving up to six months of learning time.
  • Opportunities to complete online courses in Food Hygiene and Food Allergens, as well as Level 1 Makaton training.
  • A full and relevant Paediatric First Aid certificate, essential for Early Years work.
  • Assistance with your DBS application, ensuring you have the necessary clearance to work with children.
  • Tailored support and guidance throughout your course, including CV-writing and mock-interviews to help you prepare for your apprenticeship.
About You

To be eligible for this programme, you must have at least a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, although we do accept those with a Level 1 qualification who are willing to complete a Level 2 Functional Skills qualification as part of the apprenticeship.

Access to an internet connection, a laptop or computer with microphone and camera function, as well as the ability to travel to/from a local Early Years setting and to one of our locations for the First Aid training, are essential.

Please note that this programme is open to learners living in Devon and Cornwall only due to the funding offer from the Local Authorities.
