About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as an Occupational Therapist in Upper Limb Movement Therapies. This role will involve providing specialist out-patient assessment and intervention for children and young people with upper limb difficulties, working closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues in Physiotherapy and neurology.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries, orthopaedic conditions, trauma, and developmental disabilities. They will be able to design or manufacture paediatric neuro-splints or mechanical devices for the upper limb and implement advanced treatment techniques for development of functional skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist out-patient assessment and intervention for children and young people with upper limb difficulties
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues in Physiotherapy and neurology
- Design or manufacture paediatric neuro-splints or mechanical devices for the upper limb and implement advanced treatment techniques for development of functional skills

Person Specification
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
- Postgraduate education in a relevant clinical area
- Experience working with children with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries, orthopaedic conditions, trauma, and developmental disabilities
