We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Ward Manager in our Secure Inpatient Services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the recovery journey of individuals in need of our help.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing people and providing high-quality care to patients with complex needs. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals to achieve outstanding patient care and experience.

You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and therapists, to provide comprehensive packages of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.

The Trust's ethos is to work collaboratively with service users and carers in the completion of assessments, treatment, intervention planning, and rehabilitation to enable a person-centered recovery-focused approach to care, meeting their needs in a holistic manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to achieve outstanding patient care and experience
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and services
  • Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to meet regulatory requirements and Trust standards

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (RMN/RNMH/RNLD)
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent clinical experience
  • Significant experience of managing people and providing high-quality patient care
  • Knowledge of current issues relating to health needs of patients in the field of practice, regionally and nationally
  • Research methodology and quality improvement skills
  • Detailed understanding of safeguarding and its application in practice
  • Risk assessment and management skills
